Laos, officially the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, is in Southeast Asia, surrounded on five countries which are China, Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand and Myanmar(Burma).
Laos covers an area of 236,800km2.
A country of contrasting elevations, Laos has low altitudes of 70m in the Lower Mekong region and highs up to Phu Bia’s 2817m, in upland Xieng Khouang Province.
